Local Artisans

Jua Kali Plus is a project for the Jua Kali artisans
and is focused on improving the quality of locally
manufactured products as well as the local
production of spare parts.

This is done by injecting the engineering skills by
merging the university graduate engineers with the
Jua Kali artisans in a project development process
from initiation. We also introduce the usage of
high-end fabrication and production machinery
including Computer Numeric Machines.

With this approach, we believe that the locally made products will be able to have fair competition in the local market as well as global. Working with many Jua kali artisans to produce quality products will encourage the distributors of materials to set up their stores locally

The internet is the first place that the modern consumers go to look for products or services that they need. Almost every business in every industry has some sort of online presence. But the Jua Kali Sector hardly has any.The “Jua Kali” sector in Kenya is an entire industry comprising small scale traders and artisans who work on the roadside, renowned for their ability to create almost anything on demand.

• It produces relatively cheap products that are affordable by many and improving the quality of living.

• It requires less expensive machinery since production is manual.It facilitates decentralization of industries since it spreads easily thus checking rural-urban migration.
