Girls are stronger than you think
SHE-builds is a female-focused skill empowerment program aiming at building the capacity of females of 16 years and above with hands-on skills in manufacturing and other related fields that would lead to desired financial freedoms, decision-making consideration and cultural attitudinal change about women in formal and Jua kali industry. Women face a myriad of socio-economic challenges in Africa including but not limited to; High unemployment rate( very few women are employed), Lack of skills and formal education, violence against women, both at home and in public.
We believe that; women from low-income families have the ability to actively design and build locally this improving their economic well-being, achievement of gender equality and reduction of gender-based violence
